I emphasise this ‘safe container’ a secure, non-judgmental environment as the important first step. From there, I am hard working and honest and will do my best to support you with whatever's going on for you right now, supporting you to find your voice, to tell your story.

The author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie described ‘the danger of a single story’. As a white, heterosexual woman, who was raised Catholic, I appreciate that I have experienced some ease and privilege. I hope and consider myself to be sensitive to diversity, privilege, to the words, to the many stories. I am also sensitive to grief in its many forms.

As a gestalt psychotherapist, there is a look to the East, philosophies such as Taoism, Buddhism, the acceptance of what is and from there, being within the here and now underlie the way I work. I find these ideas gentle, kind, with reverence for your experience. I would support you to sit with your difficulties/challenges in the here and now. I work somatically, above all relationally and consider myself kind, with a good sense of humour and creativity.
